Our client is currently recruiting for a hard-working and self-motivated Office Admin and Accounts Administrator to join their small office team within a busy construction company. The role will involve performing a wide range of general admin tasks and accounting functions within the organisation. Regular accounts-related duties will include: inputting invoices into our accounting software, price checking and processing sub-contractor payments. The role also includes general admin duties, such as: answering and directing phone calls, ordering office supplies, typing letters, chasing public liability insurance documentation from sub-contractors and setting up new sub-contractors on our system. The successful candidate will also be comfortable assisting their Surveyors and/or Contracts Managers with general administrative duties, on an ad hoc basis based on day-to day business requirements. You will also be required to fulfil all aspects of accounting tasks: (1) during busy periods; and (2) to provide holiday cover for the other accounts administrator in our team. Specific tasks will include:
- Bank receipts/bank payments/supplier payments
- Raising customer invoices
- Processing customer payments into our construction system
- Sage 50 payroll
- Bank reconciliation
- Training rebates
- Processing reclaims
- VAT Returns
Candidates must be able to use Sage 50 software and Microsoft Excel and have experience in a similar role and/or studied AAT level 2 (or equivalent).
There will be a 6-month probationary period (initial performance review at 3-months).
