Job Description

An opportunity has arisen with one of our clients in the Battle area for the position of Assistant Accountant.

Hours of Work:

7.30am to 4.30pm

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Management Accountant on a day-to-day basis as well as with month end processes
  • VAT returns, Intrastat and EC sales listings
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting with payment runs
  • Assisting with forecasts and budgeting
  • Posting invoices and raising credits
  • Daily posting and allocation of cash receipts
  • Finance leases
  • Variance analysis
  • Other adhoc tasks as required

Applicants must have 2 years' experience, and must be conversant with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Previous experience of Epicor or manufacturing systems would be advantageous.

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels in the Company. You must have good time management skills, be able to work well under pressure and prioritise your workload in order to meet deadlines. You must also have good attention to detail.
