Description of programme:
This leading employer is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis. Work with Programme Management and Design Engineering teams supporting new programmes in order to ensure that DFM, & DTC principles are implemented within the conceptual and final design phases of Electro Mechanical Products.
Responsible for the workflow layout, fixtures & tooling, raising work instructions and leading the resolution of technical and manufacturing issues.
Lead 'Lean and Continuous Improvement' initiatives throughout Manufacturing.
Accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects.
Train Operators on processes and work instructions.
Act as a first point of contact for the resolution of manufacturing and process issues.
HND or equivalent within Industrial Process and Manufacturing Engineering in an Electro Mechanical environment.
A minimum of five years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role with a proven record of process improvements.
Expert with formal training in the use and deployment of Lean Toolsets.
Experience with working and creating good relationships with Contract Manufacturers.
Proficient with MS Office toolsets.
Good communications & interpersonal skills.
