Job Description

Our client requires Service Assistants for their Food and Beverage department, based in Tunbridge Wells.

With the responsibility for delivering services to guests, clients and staff, you will be well-presented and flexible with experience of working in a bar and catering environment.

You will have experience in cash handling and stock control, and will be customer focussed and able to work as part of a team.

Duties will include:

  • Working in all areas of the Food and Beverage department, such as bar, restaurant, room service, conferences and events
  • Welcoming guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Taking and delivering customer orders
  • Setting up tables and rooms
  • Cash handling
  • Dealing with queries in a timely and effective manner
  • Promoting the department, and aiming to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensuring compliance
  • Making sure work areas are clean and tidy
  • Complying with all company policies

A basic food hygiene certificate, food service qualification, beverage qualification or in-house training certificate and working knowledge of cellar procedures is desirable.

Due to the location of this role, candidates must have their own transport.
