Job Description

This is 22.2 hours per week over 3 days. The pro rata salary is £25,215 - £27,239 per annum.

Based in Hastings or Brighton with travel between the two locations

The successful candidate must be able to plan their work, and contribute to the work plans of others, over several months. They will be able to collate and analyse complex data, identifying trends from information where there is a multiplicity of influencing factors. The role requires effective communication with a range of people and levels of seniority. They must have the credibility to present critical and sensitive data to senior leaders including the executive team.

Job Description:

  • Lead the implementation and development of HR systems
  • Be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of new and existing HR systems; including related policies and procedures
  • Identify, propose and implement new functionality to improve efficiency across the organisation, ensuring the capabilities of the HR systems are maximised
  • Ensure that processes associated with the HR systems are statutorily compliant, consistent with HR policies & procedures and aligned with the organisations Strategic Business Plan
  • Develop and deliver complex project implementation plans that support effective implementation of HR system changes
  • Be responsible for the management of HR systems
  • To be the lead systems administrator and manage all related activities including system maintenance, testing and audits
  • Be responsible for setting up and maintaining the system background
  • Develop and deliver a package of training and resources that equips all colleagues with the tools to be able to utilise available functionality e.g. self service
  • Be the main point of contact regarding HR systems related matters
  • Develop and maintain effective data reporting systems
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data within HR systems
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of data reports on key HR and payroll metrics including recruitment, absence, turnover, retention and pay
  • Work collaboratively with the Data Manager to ensure that data reporting is aligned with the Data Strategy and can contribute to an overarching data warehouse
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of reporting for internal, external and statutory purposes, including to inform strategic decision makers
  • Respond to all scheduled and ad-hoc data requests in a timely manner
  • Use a range of visual tools and techniques to presenting data in a way that is understandable and fit for purpose
  • Support colleagues with data analysis and tracking to ensure informed conclusions are being proposed

Knowledge And Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of managing complex HR and Payroll systems
  • Experiencing using statistical analysis in a business environment
  • Experience of redesigning procedures and practices to achieve effectiveness
  • Experience of implementing complex change management
  • Working knowledge of HR management

  • Ability to produce and present high level reports to a range of different audiences
