Do you have direct experience of managing a team delivering pensions administration for a defined benefit pension scheme?
As Pensions Operations Manager, you will manage a large team responsible for delivering pensions administration services for the County Council and other clients. The post holder will lead and manage all aspects of the day to day service and will support the team leaders and team members as necessary to fulfill service delivery requirements.
The main focus of the role will be to set the operational direction of the team, understand service requirements, strategically plan relevant workloads and apply resources appropriately. Along side this, the post holder will be involved in identifying process and software improvements and keeping all stakeholders informed through clear communication and reporting.
You will need to be a strong manager with excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Lead by example and provide leadership and support to all colleagues at a higher level than team leaders. The individual must be equipped with a significant knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme or a similar defined benefit scheme, but it is not intended that this role should be a technical role as the focus is on cost effective service delivery and standards together with making any relevant process changes and improvements where necessary.
